The Problem

During the summer months, when weather is hot and precipitation is low, drought occurs when soil doesn’t allow enough moisture to penetrate the root system to carry nutrients to the plant. This causes conditions such as heat stress and dry patch. These lawn disorders cause the soil to be unable to absorb water (what our experts call ‘hydrophobic soil’), making the plant close down with a great reduction in metabolism.

The Natural Solution

Yucca Plant Wetting Agent
To cure drought-ridden soils, The Great Lawn Company applies a natural wetting agent which helps water droplets to slide into the soil, improving drought resistance and root growth. Instead of using synthetic surfactants, like most lawn companies, we use Yucca plant extract, which has natural wetting agent properties and is safe for the environment.

The Benefits

Wetting agents are used by most lawn care companies. However, by using an agent made from completely natural materials, we ensure water gets into the soil whilst protecting the soil, natural environment, humans and animals from harmful chemicals which are commonly used in synthetic surfactants.
